Checking network connectivity

All TART telescopes are configured to automatically connect to a WiFi network called ‘elec-research’ with password ‘ragamuffin’

If the TART is not working on the Ethernet connection, set your phone up as a hotspot as above, and unplug the Ethernet. If the TART connects to the cloud, then the Ethernet network is the problem.

The TART is not connecting to the cloud network.

It could be behind some kind of firewall.

The ports that need to be open are:

  • UDP port 41641 for its direct WireGuard tunnels
  • TCP port 443 for control server communication.
  • UDP port 3478 for STUN
  • TCP port 80
